We begin!
God willing, tomorrow morning (Monday, September 3) I will start my tour to Turkey. In Turkey I will join an biblical-archaeological tour on the footsteps of St Paul and St John. We will be visiting some of the more important places linked to the early Christian Communities. Our lecturers will be Prof. Frederic Manns of the Franciscan Biblical Studies in Jerusalem and Prof. Scott Brodeur of the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. Among others we will visit Istanbul, Ankara, Bogazkale, Cappadocia, Tarsus, Anthioch, Samandag (Seleucia), Silifke, Konya (Iconius), Antioch of Pisidia, Pergamus, Ephesus, Miletus. Unfortunately, we will not visit the sacred places of Patara and Myra, so intimately linked to St Nicholas. It has to be another trip! May the Lord be with us!
